The Water Jogger by Drew Harrison Racing Shells
The Water Jogger single is a really enjoyable recreational/ open water boat. It is designed by the leading shell designer Klaus Filter to be fun, fast, and durable. Novices, experienced scullers, and open water racers will enjoy this shell. The hull
and deck are made of kevlar with gelcoat finish. They are hand
constructed and oven cured in the molds. The deck and hull are bonded
together, then finished with 6 steps of hand sanding and polishing. The
final product is a very tough shell. Oarlocks are Concept II with pitch inserts. Riggers and oarlocks are fully adjustable for forward and lateral pitch, span, and height. The seat is a strong, comfortable molded fiberglass with single action ball bearing wheels. Seats are color coordinated with Jogger colors. Foot stretchers are strong comfortable clogs with adjustments for stretcher angle, foot height, and fore and aft. Foot stretchers with rowing shoes instead of clogs can be ordered. Drain ports are made of nylon, with a large port under the seat and a small to the stern of the foot stretcher. A traditional sculling self bailer is built into the stern of the stretcher. This is a slope going up to the deck. Water is splashed up the slope by taking aggressive strokes. Mechanical self bailers can be available by special order. The skeg is built into the lines of the stern and does not protrude from the hull. Water Joggers can be pulled up on the beach or dock without damage to the skeg.
