The MAAS Winged Aero is a great all around shell that offers increased rigger clearance when launching at a dock as well as having higher clearance when rowing in rough water. The MAAS Winged Aero also has all the great features of the MAAS Classic Aero.
The Winged Aero is as stable as the Classic Aero and is a great choice for a dedicated novice to learn to row. The Aero has also enjoyed years of racing and touring success.
The Aero offers the quick responsive feel of MAAS’s higher performance shells yet is less demanding when the water is rough. In the words of Olympic Rowing Medalist Dick Lyon, “They’re just plain fun to row.“
At rowing clubs and schools across the United States, the MAAS Aero is commonly in heavy demand while other more expensive and less forgiving shells stay on the racks.
Aesthetically, the Aero’s design is very clean and uncluttered and is enhanced by the beautifully crafted rigger. The rigger of the MAAS Winged Aero has adjustability to a maximum of 164 cm. The rigger comes in a white powder coat as a standard option, or black as another option.
Standard with the Winged Aero is the internal back up structure. Inside the Winged Aero is a reinforced cockpit to accommodate the wing rigger. The wing for the Winged Aero is not interchangeable with the Classic Aero or vise versa.
The Winged Aero’s weight of 40 lbs makes transportation easy and at 21’3″, car topping is no problem.
